T: Look at this picture, what animals are they ?
Ss:Koalas.
T: Yes .Today we will learn Unit 3 Why do you like koalas? Let's read the topic 3 times together.(这既可以活跃课堂气氛,又为完成本节课任务奠定了良好的开端)
SsWhy do you like koalas?
T: OK, next picture,what's this?
Ss:It's a zoo.
 T: read “zoo”(板书)
Ss:(跟读)
T: Let's go to the zoo .OK?
Ss:OK.
T: Look at the map of the zoo, there are many animals in the zoo.Guess what they are .
S1:lion
T: Yes,lion,read after me.(板书)
Ss:lion.(跟读)
T: (同样的方式教会其他生词 koalas tiger elephant dolphin panda penguin giraffe )
Ss:(跟读)
T:Look at the picture and try to read the words fluently by yourself.
Ss:(自己练习读音)
T: Now check some students how to pronounce the words. S2,please.

T: Open the book and turn to P13.Listen and check(√)the animals you hear 1a.

   Tigers,I think tigers are big,what about you ?
Ss:scary.
T:What else?
Ss:strong , smart, interesting......
T:smart means 聪明的,漂亮的(板书),read after me.
Ss:smart.
以此种方式来出示新单词 cute, smart ,beautiful)
T: I think pandas are beautiful.And you ?
Ss:I think pandas are cute.
T:What about lions?
S7:I think lions are scary.(这样既是对已学知识的复习,又减少了学习新任务过程中的压力,同时,吸引了学生的注意力。)
以此种方式来掌握形容词的用法)
T:There are many animals in the zoo.But I want to see the pandas first.What about you ?
S8 :I want to see the pandas ,too.
T: Let's see the pandas.
Ss :That sounds good.
T: Why do you want to see the pandas ?
S9 :Because they are cute.(我制定此目标的依据是:新目标特征之一要求学生由过去的语言学习者变成现在语言使用者。)
 
T:(以此种方式多问几个学生)
 Look at 1c and read it together.
Ss :A:   Let’s see the lions.
     B:   Why do you want to see the lions ?
     A:   Because they’re smart.
 
TYou and you friend are in the zoo.There are many animals in the zoo.Make a conversation about animals.(多媒体出示对话情景)Move around and answer any questions they may have.
Ss :(Make their own dialogues.)(创设情景,让学生在模拟的动物园中表演、展示

T:Stop.I want some students to act it out.
S10& S11: A:   Let’s see the elephants.
           B:   Why do you want to see the elephants ?
           A:   Because they’re quiet.

T:Thanks for your work.Let's listen to 2a and write the animals you hear. Draw a line from the animals to the description words.
Ss :(Listen to the tape.)
T:( Check the answer.)
T:Listen again and complete the conversation with the words in the box of 2b.( You can use some words more than once.) First scan 2b and try to write down several keys,and then listen.
Ss :( listen carefully.)(先自己阅览,然后再听,降低了难度,有利于保持学生的积极性。
T: (Check the answers.) And try to remember it.

T: Look at 2c,S12 ,please read the words and the sentences.

1、Love me,love my dog. 爱屋及乌。
2、Every dog has its day. 每人都有得意时。
3、Beat(打) the dog before the lion. 杀一儆百。
4、When the cat is away(离开),the mice will play.    山中无老虎,猴子称霸王。
5. It’s raining cats and dogs . 滂沱大雨.
 
T: Animals are our friends. Let’s help each other and love each other.

通过对本节课的一系列设计,加上生动有趣的多媒体画面,激发了学生们的学习兴趣。采取了小组合作竞争的手段,调动了他们的学习与展示的积极性,使他们发挥了学生的主体地位,让他们主动探索,共同研究,顺利地完成教学任务。同时,学生的语言交际能力和共同合作的精神都得到了提高与培养。但是,教师方面还应苦练基本功;学生还应努力记忆达标巩固题里面的知识点。
