Unit 4    Where’s my schoolbag?

教学目标

Knowledge objective:

1. Be able to master the key words:

where table bed bookcase sofa chair on under

2. Be able to use “on/in/under” to talk about where the things are.

3. Be able to identify the single and plural nouns .

Ability objective:

1. Be able to use on/in/under to talk about where the things are.

2. Be able to understand the listening by catching the key words.

3. Be able to ask and answer questions frequently.

Affective objective:

Be able to talk about where the things are and try to be a tidy person .

Key points:

1.   the new words : where table bed and so on.

2.   the usage of prepositions on/in/under.

3.   Where questions and short answers.

Possible Difficulties:

1.        Talk about the things in the room with on/in/under.

2.The differences between single nouns and plural ones.

教学过程:

【导入】Lead in

1.   listen to a song and remind them of the usage of “on/in/under” by doing

actions.

2. Talk about the things in my schoolbag .

【展示】Presentation

1. Show students the things in my schoolbag and their positions. Ask and answer     questions between the teacher and the students.

   E.g. Where is my box/ dictionary/notebook…?

 

       It’s in the schoolbag/box.

       Where are the pens/rulers/pictures…?

       They are in the box.

 2.  Learn more new words by pictures on the blackboard.

3. Look at the picture in 1a and match the words with the things in the picture.

【听力】Listening Practice

1.    Students look at the picture and predict the words around the chart.

2.    Listen to the tape and number the things in the picture 1-4.

3.    Listen again and fill in the blanks.

Tom:   Where are my books

Father:   They’re ___ the Sofa.

Tom:      How about my pencil box ?

Mother:  It’s ___ your schoolbag.

Tom:      OK. And _______ my computer game ?

Helen:    Your computer game? It’s _____ your bed.

Tom:      Great. Now ______ are my keys?

Father:   Oh,  they’re ____ the table.

 

【活动】Pairwork

1.   Ask and answer together.

Where is the pencil box/ baseball/schoolbag?

Where are the pencil boxes/baseballs/books?.

2. Ask and answer in pairs.

游戏A guessing game

Show some pictures and have students to guess where the things are.

Where is the …? Is it on/in/under the …?

Yes, it is. /No,it isn’t.(书包在桌上,棒球在沙发下)

Where are the …? Are they on/in/under the …?

Yes, they are. /No,they aren’t.(钥匙在床上,尺子在盒子里)

【听力】Listening Practice

1.   Students look at the pictures and talk about the pictures.

2. 2a Listen to the tape and number the things 1-6.

3.2b. Students look at the pictures and talk about where the things may be.

4. Listen again. Find the things from 2a and number

them in the picture 1-6.

【活动】Talk about the things in the picture.

The computer game is in the bookcase.

The pencil box is under the sofa.

The books are on the chair.

The keys are on the table.

The ruler is under the chair.

The schoolbag is under the table.

【活动】Design your room.

1.    Sum up the contents in this class.
