with me?
 
Ss: Yeah.
 
T: OK, take out your hands 、legs and follow me.
 
(sing the song together . <<if you are happy >>with the actions and get them to follow. After the song , ask the Ss.)
T: Do you think it’s funny?
 
Ss: Yes.
 
T: So are you happy now?
 
Ss: Yeah!
 
T: What do you usually do if you are happy?
 
S1:I sing a happy song.
 
S2:I dance
 
S3:I talk with others.

T:I know ,now let me tell you, before the class , Joe told me he is very happy today ,now let him tell us why.
 
Joe: this Sunday is my mother’s birthday. This article is for my mother:
 
I love my mother , because she gave me so much. When I was young, she would sang songs when I went to bed. Then, I fell asleep quickly in her soft voice. Now she helps me a lot with my schoolwork and my daily life. Every time I’m in trouble, she always encourages me to face my difficulties. With her help, I become healthy and hard-working. I’m very thankful for all that she has done. Mother gave me her love without asking for return, How deep mother love is! I will give her a gift to show my love .What should I give her? Can you give me some advice?
 
S5: I think you should buy her a scarf ,.it’s beautiful.
 
S6: Why not get her a pet cat?
 
S7:You had better get her a photo album,
 
S8: How about some flowers?
 
S9:Let’s buy her a dictionary, OK?

【设计意图】利用一个贴近生活的话题,复习旧知识--提建议,训练学生提建议的表达方法。为完成以后的任务作铺垫。

新课改后的教材为我们提供了很好的听、说、读、写训练内容,通过听听、说说、唱唱、做做,先培养语感,培养兴趣,让学生在快乐中学习英语,让知识中获得成功感。   
一、尽量用英语组织教学,鼓励学生大胆用所学的英语与我对话。用英语组织教学,可以烘托英语课堂气氛,增强学生的求知欲,提高学生的听说能力。这一环节非常重要,是学生练习听力的良好机会,也是学生学习与模仿的途径之一。刚开始从最简单的短语、句子、日常英语开始,然后逐步加深。当学生听得不太懂时,我配以夸张的动作、表情或适当的解释说明,使学生沉浸在浓厚的英语气氛之中。
二、用直观教具,为学生创造良好的听说环境。实物、图片、简笔画等是英语教学中常用的直观教具,除教师制作直观教具外,我发动学生自己制作教具、学具。如刚开始学字母时,就可让学生作字母卡片,以便进行同桌、分组、找朋友等多种形式的听说训练。单词教学、对话教学等都可以让学生自己动手做图片卡、单词卡、句型卡、道具。这样安排不仅有利于师生进行听说训练,而且也能促使学生动脑动手,激发学生的学习兴趣,提高课堂效率,教学效果非常好。
三、扮演角色,进行会话,发挥学生的表演才能。英语作为一门语言,应体现它的交际功能;我一贯认为学生会应用英语是关键,所以充分给学生自由发挥的空间,通过小组合作、师生合作,让他们充分的发挥想象,运用所学的内容自编自演谈话内容。这样学生活学活用了英语,同时也培养了学生的表演才能。我在领读时声音、语调都带有感情色彩,把各个角色的性格、特点淋漓尽致地表现出来,同时也让学生在表演时拿出自制头饰之类的简单道具,并模仿原声带中的语音、语调,带有逼真表情和贴切的动作,使学生有身临其境之感,从而加深他们对知识的记忆。

一:教学思路
 
我一直有一个想法:只有置于一定情景下的研究才是真实的,也只有提供一定的情景才能促使学生由于教学内容由科学世界向生活世界回归,教学内容才能显示出开放性和活力。如果老师给学生创设一个贴近生活的学习背景,随着事情发展,让学生自主学习,主动探究,一定能消除学生学习的压抑感,厌烦感。本着这一原则,我设计了八年级英语下第八单元的复习课,通过帮助同学为母亲选生日礼物为话题,以事情的发展为主线,层层设定任务。通过表演和辩论等形式,充分调动学生的学习积极性,逐步完成本节课的学能目标。
 
二:设计理念
 
1以学校倡导的集体备课,学生自主学习、合作探究为依据,注重发展学生综合语言运用能力,使英语学习的过程成为学生形成积极的情感体验、主动思维、自主学习能力的过程。
 
2以学生为主体、教师为主导为原则,以事情发展为主线,通过设定任务,利用表演,辩论等形式,给学生创设表现的舞台,使他们积极参与,尽可能地发挥出自己的水平。
 
【教学目标】:
 
1)能力目标:锻炼学生语言表达能力,表演能力以及灵敏反应能力,提高学生的听说能力。
 
2)情感目标:培养学生合作、互助,尊重他人,关心爱护他人的优良品质,培养学生乐于学习、积极向上的情感。
 
【教学方法】:自主学习,合作探究。

A: They’re easy to take care of but they’are boring.

A:Yes, it’s friendly enough ,but it can be noisy sometimes.
 
S2: An animal? I think a hamster..
 
A: A hamster? It’s popular, and they are quite an clean. OK,I will take it. Oh, no ,it’s hard to clean up the hair.
 
S3:I know a parrot .It can speak to her ,then she can’t feel lonely.

【点评】学生课下排练,使学生有充足的时间进行教材和资料的查阅,使学生有充足的时间独立学习和自我建构,有利于发挥他们的个性,展示他们的能力,同时,充分的准备是学生课上体验成功快乐的前提。
 
T:Now Some groups suggest to buy a pet ,some suggest to buy an article for use .But Joe doesn’t have enough money for all the gifts ,he wants to buy one kind of them . Now we have two big groups, how can you make the opposite group agree with you? Talk about it for a moment and get ready for the debate .
 
Debate:
 
S1:Joe studies here, his mother often feels lonely ,she needs a company ,I think Joe should buy a pet for her ,then she will happy.
 
S2: I think every women likes beauty , if she wears beautiful clothes she will be more beautiful ,then she will fell happy too.
 
S3:I agree with you. But pets can be her company , for example ,a pet parrot can talk with her when she fells lonely ,after dinner she can have a walk with a pet dog .But articles for use can’t be
 
S4: I agree that pets can be her company ,but articles for use are very useful and helpful in her life .For example ,a watch can make her go to work on time ,a dictionary can open her eyes, an umbrella can make she not get wet when it rains. They don't need feeding and don’t spend much time.
 
S5:But we can buy some goldfishes ,and that they are easy to take care of .
 
S6:But pets can die when they are dead his mother will be very sad. Articles for use are never to be dead.
 
S7:In fact, every living thing can be dead ,if we know that ,we won’t be sad for a long time. However, articles for use can be broken or out of style ,then we have to store them ,and we have no room to store them.
 
S8:This a common thing, we can give it to the poor, then they will be thankful and at the same time we do a good thing.
